The community is also beginning the visioning process for Argo CD 4. 0, making ArgoCon an opportunity to connect around what users are building today and where the projects are heading next. The first ArgoCon was a virtual event that brought together almost 4,000 attendees.
It featured Argo creator Pratik Wadher alongside project maintainers and was hosted through a collaboration between Intuit, Red Hat, and Codefresh, now part of Octopus Deploy. Since then, ArgoCon has taken place both as a standalone event and alongside KubeCon + CloudNativeCon, with events held across three continents. At the heart of the event is the breadth of the Argo Project itself. Argo encompasses four projects: Argo CD, Argo Workflows, Argo Rollouts, and Argo Events. They can be used together, but each addresses distinct challenges and is also used independently by teams.
Much like Kubernetes, the Argo projects provide building blocks that teams can use to create systems suited to their own requirements. Bringing the community together gives practitioners an opportunity to show what they have built, discuss how they are approaching technical challenges, and exchange best practices. ArgoCon creates a dedicated space for Argo maintainers and practitioners to exchange implementation experience, technical lessons, and ideas. The breadth of those experiences reflects the different ways the projects are being used.
Previous community discussions have included Argo CD running on satellites, approaches to scaling Argo CD beyond 60,000 applications, and the use of Argo Workflows for machine learning across large datasets. For attendees of KubeCon + CloudNativeCon, ArgoCon offers an opportunity to go deeper into these projects and learn directly from maintainers and practitioners working with them. ArgoCon North America 2026 will be a full-day, two-track event, with talks covering the different Argo projects as well as examples of how they can be used together.
